Benefits of Fellowship. Join a Crew

One of the best ways to grow in your faith and to experience the love and support of the church is to join a small group in fellowship or what we call ‘Crews’ at Vive. A small group is a gathering of a few people who meet regularly to study the Bible, pray, share, and serve together. Small groups can vary in size, format, and focus, but they all have the same goal: to help you grow closer to God and to one another.

Why should you join a small group? Here are some of the benefits of Christian fellowship:

  • You will learn more about God and His Word. Small groups provide an opportunity to study the Bible in depth, to ask questions, and to apply God’s truth to your life. You will also learn from the insights and experiences of other believers, who can help you understand and apply God’s Word better. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; Acts 17:11)
  • You will grow in your relationship with God and others. Small groups foster a sense of intimacy and accountability, where you can share your joys and struggles, your praises and prayers, and your hopes and fears. You will also receive encouragement, comfort, and guidance from your fellow group members, who will support you and pray for you. You will also have the opportunity to encourage, comfort, and guide others, as you bear one another’s burdens and build one another up. (Galatians 6:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; James 5:16)
  • You will discover and use your spiritual gifts. Small groups provide a platform for you to discover and use your spiritual gifts, which are special abilities that God has given you to serve Him and His people. You will be able to use your gifts to bless and edify your group members, as well as to reach out to others in need. You will also be able to learn from and appreciate the gifts of others, as you work together as a team for God’s glory. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7; Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:11-16)
  • You will experience the joy of serving and sharing. Small groups enable you to serve and share with others in practical ways, such as helping with a project, providing a meal, or visiting a sick person. You will also be able to share the gospel with others, as you invite them to join your group or to attend a church service or event. You will experience the joy of being a blessing and a witness to others, as you show them God’s love and grace. (Matthew 25:34-40; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15)

Small groups provide a platform for you to discover and use your spiritual gifts, which are special abilities that God has given you to serve Him and His people. You will be able to use your gifts to bless and edify your group members, as well as to reach out to others in need.

How can you join a small group? Here are some steps to take:

  • Pray and ask God to lead you to the right group for you. He knows your needs, your interests, and your personality, and He will guide you to the group that suits you best. (Proverbs 3:5-6; James 1:5)
  • Visit our website and browse through the list of available small groups. You can filter the groups by location, time, topic, or demographic. You can also read the descriptions and profiles of the group leaders and members. (Website URL)
  • Contact the group leader of the group that you are interested in. You can send them an email, a text message, or a phone call, and ask them more about their group. You can also ask them if you can visit their group and see if it is a good fit for you. (Group leader contact details)
  • Attend the group meeting and see for yourself. You will be welcomed and accepted by the group members, who will be happy to have you. You will be able to participate in the group activities, such as Bible study, prayer, discussion, and fellowship. You will also be able to give feedback and ask questions. (Group meeting details)

We hope that you will join a small group and experience the benefits of Christian fellowship. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and that He wants you to grow in Him and with others. We look forward to seeing you soon. God bless you.
